Back in time to 1943 and relive the excitement of classic arcade dogfights in VR.

The story

It’s the year 1976. We’re in a dystopian reality in which the Nazi army ended up defeating the Allied Front and winning the Great War. In this apocalyptic parallel universe, Hitler has declared himself Supreme World Chancellor and, what’s even more terrifying, Tyrolean pants are all the rage across the globe. However, there’s still hope. Despite the scarcity of resources, the Allied resistance’s brightest scientists, led by the eccentric Dr. Ivan Ivanovich, have made the impossible possible: they’ve built a time machine. Thus, thanks to the Quantum Air Combat Simulator, the Virtual Reality prototype designed by Dr. Ivanovich, you’ll have the opportunity to travel back in time and take part in the most momentous air battles of World War II. But pay attention! Playing with quantum reality and altering the path of history can have the most unforeseen consequences…

Classic Essence / VR Technology

Sit in front of the huge 3D Quantum Simulator screen, fasten your seatbelt and relive the magic of legendary vertical scrolling titles. Alternate the “classic” point of view with the first-person perspective, while performing impossible maneuvers to dodge enemy fire. Be amazed by the dynamic scenario elements that will pop off at you. Never has a simulation seemed so real and fast-paced.

Air Combat / Immersion Zones

As Ivanovich Games already did in the successful “Operation Warcade”, all the scenarios in “1976: Back to Midway” include several Immersion Zones, which allow the player to move inside the aircraft cabin, offering new and thrilling challenges. An experience that only Virtual Reality can provide. Take control of the Lockheed P-38 Lightning and the B-17G Flying Fortress exact replicas, test your pilot skills, become a flying ace, and change history forever.

How do I download the demo?  The 1976.apk is greyed out won't let me click on it from SideQuest.

Ops! Something has happened to the file. Let's re-upload it. Thanks for advising

i cant wait to play the full vr game the demo is superb you can clearly see a lot of time from the developers have went into making this demo game very clever the way the screen works in vr with planes flying out of the screen then the cockpit puting yourself in vr imersion many thanks for the demo played many hours trying it out and being disabled a sitting game is great thanks again .

Loving the demo. I do have a couple issues though. I seem to be getting random flashes. Not sure what they're supposed to be from. It's just like a shot straight into my eyes. The other issue is I have a hard time seeing my shots. Maybe there could be an option to set the color? I think a neon green would be easier to see. Can't wait for more of the game or the full release!

Oculus 1 or 2 version? Do the flashes appear playing in the arcade? In the first immersion zone? In the second?

(1 edit)

Oculus 2 and I believe only during the arcade section. I was thinking maybe it it was from something happening in the foreground, like how some planes start up close and drop down to the screen, and the models were clipping into my face (the camera) causing a flash. No planes fly in immediately after however. I played several times and it seemed to be a dynamic type of thing. I don't think it was happening the same amount of times at the same places.
One more issue I thought of and also noticed in a youtube review. The cockpit in the first immersion zone seems a little too small. We're clipping through one side or the other of the canopy when we look around. Could be just a touch bigger or wider. Not a major issue but I noticed it.

*I played a few more times and I'm thinking the flashes happen only when my plane is badly damaged and on fire. This last run I didn't get hurt until the end and didn't see any flashes.

When will the full game be available for quest plz

We hope to be able to give news soon

Is this only 1st level of game

Yes. It's just a demo including the first level with 2 immersion points and the weapons upgrade system. It's not the full game
